Animation process

As the following film shows we only need 3 buttons to make Paultje & de Draak.
1. The "Make Rough" button, which is pushed by Paco
2. The "Clean up" button, which is pressed by Paulo
3. The "Make It All Cool Coloury and Shiny" button which i get to press at the end of the day

Landgenoten - Jean-Louis Pisuisse & Anna Maria Sibylla Merian

Here some more tasty screen dumps of the latest episodes of Landgenoten.
We had to animate the murder of Jean Louis Pisuisse on the Rembrandt Plein in Amsterdam. Mr. Pisuisse is said to be the godfather of Dutch cabaret. He was murdered in 1927 by a jealous lover.




The other is the story of Anna Maria Sibylla Merian, who was a famous lady that documented plants and insects back in 18th century.

Thanks to Gerhard Nevenzel & Aad van Dam from The Site for testing a few HD scenes from 'Paul & The Dragon' on Blue Ray disc! It looks great! Now all we need is a Blue Ray player.

Back on track

After many delays and other projects taking too long, we are proud to say we are back on track with our animated short Paul & The Dragon. To kick off the first in many updates we present you with our final character model sheets.







And we also would like to introduce to you another talented animator on the team, Paulo Dekkers.
Not only can this funky brother draw but he will wip yo ass in any dance battle :D

Floris must die!

So last week we had a lot of fun killing count Floris V in a spectacular cruel way for new episodes of 'Landgenoten'. Below are some random screenshots of the scenes. Here's a sweet taste of history:

The Show Of Nothing

Last Friday I dove into the famous Bob Kommers studio to record some funny voice acting for the new animated series "The Show Of Nothing". As you can see I was accompanied by the lovely talented Margo van de Linde. The series is created by Maurice van der Bij and Sylvia van Ommen and will be produced by il Luster Productions.

Our new office

Ok, not really. This week we started working again on new episodes of 'Landgenoten'.
This episode is about Belle van Zuylen.

Bonjour bonjour everybody! Well we're back from the Annecy 2007 festival and we had an excellent time over there.
We met lots of cool people & talented artists. We had a couple of drinks. We saw a lot of great films and shorts (and unfortunately as always a lot of crappy ones as well) . We had a couple of drinks. We had a relaxing time on the beautiful lake. We had a couple of drinks.

Most of the week we hung out with Ka-Ching Joost and many other people from the Skunk Fu crew working for Cartoon Saloon. All wonderful artists and we updated some of the links to their blogs, so be sure to check them out.

Next year we'll definitely be there again and hopefully we'll be having our short playing in the festival as well.
